Habilitation (Livre-docência) in Semiotics of Discourse, with a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Portuguese Language from UNESP (2009), including a research internship at the Université de Limoges, France (PDSE/2006). Holds a Masters degree in Literary Studies from UNESP (2005) and a degree in Letters (Portuguese/French) from UNESP (2002). Conducted a research internship, funded by CAPES/PrInt, at the Université de Liège, Belgium (2023).Specializes in Linguistics, with a focus on French-line Semiotics. Dedicated to the study of discourse, semiotic practices, and forms of life, addressing in their articles, book chapters, and books topics such as the status of the text in semiotics, the problem of textual typologies, and issues related to the construction of identities and subjectivities in discourse. Currently, their research interests include the study of marginalized identities, issues related to the construction of discourses on class, gender, and race, and the problem of algorithmic bias.Served as Editor of the Revista do GEL (2016-2020), Coordinator of the Semiotics Working Group (GT) of ANPOLL (2018-2020), and General Secretary of the Brazilian Association of Semiotic Studies (ABES). Currently, they lead the "Semiotics Research Group at UNESP - GPS" (FCLAr/UNESP), coordinate the International Research Network (RPI) "Rhetoric of Identities: Humanistic Formation as the Foundation of Critical Reading" (CAPES/PrInt), and edit the journal Cadernos de Semiótica Aplicada - CASA, published by UNESP.Holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies at the Faculty of Sciences and Letters, UNESP, Assis campus (SP), and serves as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Linguistics and Portuguese Language at the Faculty of Sciences and Letters, UNESP, Araraquara campus (SP).
