Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (Brasil). Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos. Master's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of ABC with a sandwich period at Université Paris Diderot (CNRS- France). PhD in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas. All research development was carried out in laboratories located at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) with a FAPESP scholarship. Throughout her education, she worked on the synthesis and functionalization of silica nanoparticles applied to disease treatment (nanomedicine). In addition to investigating the interaction of silica nanoparticles with different proteins, phospholipids, and carbohydrates. A new methodology for the characterization of nanoparticles was developed during the PhD. This was achieved through in-situ and real-time monitoring of silica nanoparticle synthesis for size/concentration determination using a millifluidic impedimetric sensor, known as an electronic tongue. During postgraduate studies, she gained experience in characterization techniques such as XPS, DLS, TGA, GC/MS, HPLC, FT-IR, NMR, SAXS, UV-Vis, electron microscopy (SEM, EDS, TEM), centrifugation, lyophilization, potentiostats, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, electrophoresis, pH meters, among others. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Aché Pharmaceutical Laboratory, developing an electrochemical methodology to evaluate the palatability of drugs. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
