Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (Brasil). Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos. Masters degree in Biotechnology Sciences from the Federal University of ABC, with a research internship at Université Paris Diderot (CNRS France). PhD in Chemistry from the University of Campinas. The doctoral research was fully conducted at the laboratories of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), supported by a FAPESP fellowship. Her research activities focused on the synthesis and functionalization of silica nanoparticles for applications in disease treatment (nanomedicine). She also investigated the interactions of silica nanoparticles with proteins, phospholipids, and carbohydrates. During her doctoral studies, she developed a novel methodology for nanoparticle characterization, based on in situ and real-time monitoring of silica nanoparticle synthesis, enabling the determination of size and concentration through an impedimetric microfluidic sensor (electronic tongue type). She has gained extensive expertise in physicochemical and electrochemical characterization techniques, including XPS, DLS, TGA, GC/MS, HPLC, FT-IR, NMR, SAXS, UV-Vis, electron microscopies (SEM, EDS, TEM), centrifugation, lyophilization, potentiostats, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, electrophoresis, and pHmetry, among others. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Aché Pharmaceutical Laboratories, where she developed an electrochemical methodology for drug palatability evaluation. More recently, she served as an RD researcher at Rhodia Brazil, being responsible for product analyses using granulometry, SEM, FT-IR, and related techniques. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
