Jose Octavio Armani Paschoal

Materials Engineer, graduated from UFSCar, Master from Escola Politécnica USP, PhD in Engineering from Universitat Karlsruhe, Germany. He was a researcher at IPEN-CNEN / SP, between 1975 and 2010, at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), working and acting as Head of the Materials Science and Technology Center (CCTM) and Director of Special Projects (DPE) . He was advisor of master's and doctoral students at the Postgraduate Program at IPEN / USP. He was Coordinator of the National Network of Systems for Integration and Development of Fuel Cells by the Brazilian Hydrogen Fuel Cells Program (PROH2 / MCTI). Consultant in the management of technology-based and innovation companies. He was President of Instituto Inova, the entity responsible for managing the São Carlos Innovation Center and Eco Technological Park (Ecotec Damha), between 2008 and 2015. He was President of the Brazilian Ceramic Center (CCB), an important center for the development of Brazilian industry from 1998 to 2018, and remains a Member of the Deliberative Council of the CCB. He is currently Program Manager at the GMT FAPESP Project, based at IAG - USP. He has experience in the development of research projects in innovation and in the areas of materials, energy and the environment, with a focus on renewable energy sources, impacts, improvement of energy and environmental performance.
