Juliana Guerra Pinto

PhD and Master in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade do Vale do Paraíba (UNIVAP), with a degree in Biomedicine from the same institution. She has qualifications in Clinical Pathology, Parasitology, Biophotonics and Aesthetic Biomedicine. She is currently a professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at UNIVAP and an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Photochemistry and Photobiology in Biological Systems (Lab PhotoBioS). She is also a member of the PhotoBioS Research Group of the Institute of Research and Development (IPD/UNIVAP), participating in projects in the area of #8203;#8203;Biophotonics and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) applied to health, which maintains national and international collaborations, with emphasis on scientific partnerships with researchers from Italy and Portugal, focused on the development and application of innovative technologies in health. He participates in institutional committees, being a member of the Ethics Committee for the Use of Animals (CEUA), the Congregation of the Faculty of Health Sciences, the UNIVAP Extension Committee and the Scientific Committee of the University's Health and Quality of Life Congress, in addition to currently being a member of the Board of the Biomedicine Course and a member of the Congregation of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
