Micael Antunes da Silva is a doctoral student in the Graduate Programme in Music at the Institute of Arts of the University of Campinas. He is affiliated to the Interdisciplinary Centre for Sound Communication, directed by Prof. Dr. Jônatas Manzolli. He completed a research internship at the CNRS-PRISM laboratory in Marseille, France, supervised by Dr. Slvi Ystad, where he developed computational tools to study the concept of musical texture with an empirical approach. His current research focuses on computational music analysis. Micael is a composer and holds a Master's degree in Arts from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo. His research during the master's degree focused on tuning systems and psychoacoustic models of sensory dissonance. He worked as a teacher in the Guri Santa Marcelina programme, teaching music theory and initiation, and was the creator of the Modular Course in Listening and Musical Creation. He has also given training courses for teachers. As a composer, Micael was part of the Capim Novo Collective, participating in various concerts in São Paulo with pieces for different chamber ensembles and interactions with electronic music. He was also one of the composers and musical producers for the pieces in the book "Cena Absurdo" by the poet Pedro Marques. Micael has contributed as an author to academic and artistic works in countries such as the United States, Portugal and Argentina. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
