Master's student in Genetics of Microorganisms at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), carries out research activities at the Genetics and Bio-Energy Laboratory (LGE). Carla has experience in the field of genetics and metabolic engineering, more specifically in the production of compounds of economic interest in microorganisms, as well as in the production of yeast-based biosensors. Carla has extensive laboratory experience and has been granted two FAPESP scholarships: for undertaken scientific initiation (undergraduate research) and masters. Recently, Carla had a six months internship opportunity at the Alper Lab, at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), a reference in the yeast metabolic engineering field. Carla graduated in Biological Sciences at UNICAMP in 2018, having performed one year of her undergrad studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), in Belgium. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
