Graduated in Pharmacy, with a master's and Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Anesthesiology, and Therapeutics from the School of Dentistry of Piracicaba (FOP-UNICAMP), and has a "livre-docência" (habilitation) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FCF-UNICAMP). She served as a professor in the Graduate Program in Dentistry at the University of Taubaté (20092012) and in the Dentistry and Graduate Program in Implantology at the University of Santo Amaro (20132016). Currently, she is an associate professor at FCF-UNICAMP and a permanent faculty member in the Graduate Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences (FCF-UNICAMP) and Dentistry, specializing in Pharmacology, Anesthesiology, and Therapeutics (FOP-UNICAMP). She was the coordinator of the Pharmacy program at UNICAMP (20202022) and is currently a member of the extension, graduate studies, internship, and curriculum committees at FCF-UNICAMP. In 2024, she completed a sabbatical at the School of Dental Medicine, East Carolina University. She has published 70 scientific articles, supervised 8 masters students, 2 masters co-supervisions, 3 doctoral students, and 25 undergraduate research students. Currently, she supervises 2 masters students, 4 doctoral students (including 1 co-supervision), and 5 undergraduate research students, in addition to overseeing a postdoctoral researcher funded by FAPESP. She serves as an ad hoc reviewer for national and international scientific journals and is part of the editorial board of the journal Archives of Oral Biology. She was also a member of the ENADE committee for the Pharmacy program (20232024). She coordinates the Laboratory of Antimicrobial Pharmacology and Microbiology (LABFAM), focusing on: investigating the antimicrobial activity and mechanisms of action of synthetic and natural molecules; drug repurposing for oral and skin infections; and evaluating preservatives and microbiota-modulating products for skin (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
