Birthplace: Brazil

Has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with an emphasis on Environmental Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2019) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Biochemistry Program at the University of São Paulo. Conducted a sandwich program funded by CAPES-PrInt in the laboratory of Prof. Jay C. Dunlap at Dartmouth College from October 2023 to March 2024. Currently, she conducts research in the Fungal Bioluminescence Laboratory at the Institute of Chemistry of USP under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cassius Vinicius Stevani, characterizing candidate genes for the biological clock of the fungus Neonothopanus gardneri and their relationship with bioluminescence. Her interest in fungal bioluminescence began during her undergraduate research in the Fungal Bioluminescence Laboratory (Institute of Chemistry, USP) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Cassius Vinicius Stevani. She has experience in the cultivation and genomics of bioluminescent fungi, molecular biology, and chronobiology. Received the Marlene DeLuca Prize-Berthold in 2024 in recognition of advances in research on the biological clock of bioluminescent fungi. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
