Birthplace: Brazil

I am an experimental physicist, currently, a postdoctoral researcher in quantum optomechanics at the University of Calgary, Canada. Previously, I worked in nanophotonics at the University of Campinas. My work has an emphasis on optomechanics in semiconductor microcavities, involving device design, optical characterization, nanofabrication, and Finite Element Method simulations. In 2017, I received my Ph.D. degree from the University of Western Australia, which was focused on 3D microwave cavities and low-temperature spectroscopy, and, in 2012, my master?s in astrophysics, from the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research, working on electromechanical transducers for gravitational wave detectors.
