Abstract This project proposes the development of active and/or passive optomechanical microcavities made of III-V semiconductor alloys with high optomechanical coupling strength. With optimized structures, our aim is to study and improve the optomechanical coupling using innovative designs and materials. Moreover, in the active case, we plan to investigate and demonstrate the coupling between the relaxation oscillations in the laser emission with optomechanical vibrations, generating the emission of optical carriers modulated by radiofrequency or microwaves. | |
