The project consists of studying the theory of Higgs bundles and applications. We hope that at the end of the project the student will acquire a formation in symplectic, complex and algebraic geometry, since the proposed program is in the intersection of such areas. The proposal consists of study of the interaction between the theory of Higgs bundle and mirror symmetry. At the end of this project we expect that the student become familiar with the "State of Arts" on this theory as well be in touch with some open problems for forthcoming PhD project. (AU)
