Paola Argentin is a PhD student at the Post-Graduation Program in Social Sciences from State University of Campinas - UNICAMP. She holds a MA in Social Anthropology from the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology, and a BA in Social Sciences from the same institution. She has earned two grants both guaranteed by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) to study forms of neighbourhood security and violent dynamics of private protection in São Paulo cities.
