Has a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Paraná (2005), a master's degree in Physical Chemistry (DQ-UFPR) and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry (DQ-UFPR) with a sandwich period at The University of Texas at Austin - United States under the supervision of Prof. Rodney Ruoff. He received an honorable mention in the Capes Thesis Award in 2015. He carried out a Post-Doc in the Materials Chemistry Group - UFPR in the area of #8203;#8203;carbon-derived nanomaterials with an emphasis on transparent conductive electrodes and sensors, under the supervision of Prof. Aldo Zarbin. Between 2014 and 2024 he was a professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a Collaborating Researcher at the Mackenzie Institute for Research in Graphene and Nanotechnology - MackGraphe. Since February 2024 he has been a Collaborating Researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo - USP in the Laboratory of Electroactive Materials in collaboration with Professor Roberto M. Torresi. He has also been a CNPq Level 2 Research Productivity Scholar since 2021 and an active member of the Brazilian Chemical Society since 2017. Vice-director of the Materials Chemistry Division, management 2024-2026. Between 08/2024 and 03/2025 he carried out a post-doc at the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research - IPEN. He is currently Adjunct Professor A in the Nanotechnology Engineering Program (PENt) at the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute of Graduate Studies and Engineering Research (COPPE-UFRJ). He has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis on electrochemistry, inorganic chemistry and materials chemistry. His main topics of interest have been: (i) synthesis and study of defects in graphene and its derivatives; (ii) conductive polymers; (iii) pure or mixed transition metal oxides; (iv) transition metal dichalcogenides; (v) electrochemical capacitors, (vi) new generation batteries, (vii) green hydrogen generation.
