João is a postdoctoral researcher at the Vitreous Materials Laboratory - LaMaV at the Federal University of São Carlos, investigating the effect of field and electric current on ultra-fast crystallization of glasses. He received a Direct Doctorate in Engineering and Materials Science from the University of São Paulo - Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering (USP - FZEA).
