Holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Physics from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (2015), a Master's degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV, 2018), and a PhD in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC-USP, 2023), which included a research internship at Kyushu University funded by a BEPE scholarship (FAPESP). After completing his PhD, he undertook a postdoctoral position at the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and is currently engaged in another postdoctoral program at the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). In this Ph.D project the candidate will be inserted into three differents researches lines, linked with each other, on the Geometry/Topology of real and complex Singularities, to know, interactions between Singularity Theory and Knot theory, fibered structures in the presence of Singularities, e classification of real algebraic sets, as described in the project. This project proposes the study of the Newton polyhedron of mixed polynomials in n-variables, along with non-degeneracy conditions. The main focus is to identify sufficient conditions, whether involving non-degeneracy or not, to ensure link equivalence in the members of one-parameter families of mixed polynomials.
In this Ph.D project the candidate/fellow will be introduced to Geometric/Topological studies of real and complex Singularities through the interraction between Singularity and Knot Theories.
