Masters and PhD in Social Anthropology from the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of São Carlos, and postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Anthropology at Unicamp (FAPESP fellow), with a research internship at the University of Oxford. Currently, Associate Researcher affiliated with the Center for Research in Indigenous Ethnology (CPEI) at Unicamp and with Zumbi dos Palmares University (São Paulo). I worked for four years in the field of research and evaluation of social programs and projects at the Ministry of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger. Author of the books Os agentes indígenas de saúde do Alto Xingu (The Indigenous Health Agents of the Upper Xingu), the result of my masters dissertation and winner of the ABA/GTZ Award for Best Masters Thesis; É Indígena, não é índio não (Its Indigenous, Not Indian) and Povos indígenas e seus direitos: conhecer, valorizar e respeitar (Indigenous Peoples and Their Rights: Understanding, Valuing, and Respecting), the latter two aimed at children, young readers, and teachers. Professor at the Department of Anthropology at Unicamp and at the Intercultural Training Program for Students Admitted through the Indigenous Entrance Exam (Programa Formativo Intercultural para Ingressantes pelo Vestibular Indígena - ProFIIVI) at Unicamp.
