Birthplace: Brazil

I have a B.Eng. in Materials Engineering from The University Center of FEI (2017), being honored several times for my high academic performance and participation in extracurricular projects. During graduation, I developed projects related to the reuse of industrial waste in the field of polymer composites reinforced with natural fibers and polymer blends. I acquired my M.Sc. degree in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology in 2020. The project received funding from FAPESP, the most prestigious governmental funding agency in Brazil. The research focused on the development of a poly(ethylene terephthalate)/graphene oxide nanocomposite with high mechanical performance, in which different exfoliation media have been investigated. The majority of the project was developed at MackGraphe - Institute for Research in Graphene and Nanotechnologies (Brazil), with an internship at the Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering, Case Western Reserve University (U.S.A.). I am currently working on my dual-degree Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology at MackGraphe - Institute for Research in Graphene and Nanotechnologies (Brazil), and in Mechanical Engineering at École de Technologie Supérieure (Canada). The research intends to apply hybrid 2D nanomaterials based on graphene oxide, hexagonal boron nitride, and molybdenum disulfide as advanced fillers in a multifunctional polyamide 1010 nanocomposite of biological origin. Funding for this project comes mainly from FAPESP (Brazil) and partially from NSERC (Canada). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
