Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo in 2020 and earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB-USP) in 2023. During her scientific initiation, she was a FAPESP fellow (2018-2020) at the Laboratory of Protein Structure and Evolution at ICB, where she contributed to the characterization of a new family of toxins secreted by Salmonella through the Type VI Secretion System (T6SS), used in bacterial competitions. During her Ph.D., also as a FAPESP fellow at the same institute, she worked with cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, and utilized bioinformatics to identify new effectors secreted via T6SS from Salmonella spp. She participated in various scientific events, gaining recognition through three awarded presentations. Recently, she gained international experience working with bioinformatics at the University of Texas at Austin. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
