Ítalo is a Doctoral Student in Informatics and Computing at Northern Arizona University, USA. Master in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics, in the research line of Software Engineering and Information Systems, from the Institute of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (ICMC) of the University of São Paulo (USP). He holds a bachelor's degree in Digital Systems and Media and received the title ''Magna Cum Laude" from the Federal University of Ceará (2017), is a technician in Computer Networks from the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Ceará (2014). Participated in several research projects (Monitoring and Scientific Initiation) and extension (Junior Company) during graduation (2014/2017). Has experience in Industry with Project Management, Web Application Development and Software Quality with emphasis on Software Testing (2015/2020).Worked as Quality Assurance Analyst in large and medium-sized companies assisting national and international clients, performing manual and automated software testing. He is reviewer for journals (RSMD, iSys, SCP) and reviewer of national (SBES, SBCARS, SAST, ENCOINFO, WASHES, SBCARS, SAST, Latin.Science, WLIC, CIMATech) and international (MSR, SANER, FASE, CLEI, EATIS, SIGCSE, CompEd). He has been a contributor to the organization of national and international events, as well as a member of program committees for various conferences and workshops (SESoS/WDES, WASHES, EATIS, SIGCSE, WLIC, Latin.Science). He serves as the representative of NAU's Faculty of Engineering, Informatics and Applied Sciences in the graduate student government (2022/2023). He participates as a volunteer member of Fronteiras da Engenharia de Software podcast, being a scientific dissemination initiative to reflect on the present and future of software engineering in Brazil. He works as a Teaching Assistant at Northern Arizona University providing guidance to different project teams to guide them through their final graduation project, from planning, requirements analysis to the implementation and testing phase of the project (2022/2023 ).He worked as a researcher at the Software Engineering Laboratory (LABES) at (ICMC / USP), where he developed his research funded by the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP). He is a member of the Sociedade Brasileira de Computação (SBC), the Association for Computing Machinery-ACM and the IEEE Computer Society Technical Council on Software Engineering-TCSE.
