Birthplace: Brazil

Researcher at Observatório Nacional/MCTI.. My primary research areas include galactic archaeology, with a focus on the structure and formation of the Milky Way. My main research interests are the galactic disk and halo, stellar overdensities, tidal streams, chemical abundances, and metal-poor stars. I have extensive experience in handling data from major photometric, spectroscopic, and astrometric surveys (2MASS, SDSS, APOGEE, SEGUE, LAMOST, GALAH, GAIA e S-PLUS), , as well as working with galactic models.Currently, I am a collaborator in the S-PLUS Survey, where I am co-leader of the Milky Way Working Group and am responsible for the calibration of the S-PLUS Ultra Short Survey. I am also a co-founder of a Brazilian interinstitutional group dedicated to the weekly discussion of papers in the galactic and stellar fields. Additionally, I am referee for the Astrophysical Journal (ApJ) and the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS). Furthermore, I am a member of the National Time Allocation Committee (NTAC) for the Gemini telescope. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
