Flávia Costa da Silva

Materials Engineer from Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (2010), with a master's and doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (2012 and 2016). She completed her doctoral exchange at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain (2014). As a researcher, she has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;powder metallurgy. She has a post-doc from Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos - USP, having carried out research activities at the Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas de São Paulo (IPT) and at the Leibniz Institute IWT, in Germany. She has a second post-doct through the PROBRAL project at the University of Bremen and Leibniz Institute - IWT. She is currently a researcher hired by Forschungszentrum Jülich, at the Institute for Materials and Devices (IMD-1) and works in the manufacture and characterization of metal powders for application in 3D printing processes of metals, such as Direct Energy Deposition and Laser Powder Bed Fusion techniques. As a lecturer, she has experience as a visiting postgraduate professor at Faculdade SATC and a substitute professor for bachelor courses at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
