Daniel Magalhães de Oliveira

University professor with a solid background in Mechanical Production Engineering (B.Sc.) and Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. and Ph.D.), with a focus on Materials Science and Technology. Develops research with emphasis on polymers, natural fiber composites, plant-based fibers, recycling, and additive manufacturing, with a focus on sustainable materials, innovation, and environmental impact.Currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Technology of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (FAT-UERJ), in Resende, teaching in the Mechanical Engineering program. He is also a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Science and Technology of Materials (PPG-CTM) at the Polytechnic Institute (IPRJ-UERJ), in the Department of Materials. Leads projects related to sustainable development, technological innovation, and efficiency in educational and productive processes.Has consolidated experience in the fields of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, working mainly on the development of sustainable filaments for additive manufacturing, thermal characterization of recycled materials, and the formulation of polymer composites reinforced with lignocellulosic fibers.In the industrial sector, worked at MAN Latin America Volkswagen Trucks and Buses, in the areas of Quality and Painting Processes, focusing on production engineering, quality control, and industrial painting.Is interested in institutional partnerships, projects with scientific and social impact, knowledge dissemination, and the integration of technology, education, and purpose.
