Matheus de Jesus Castro is a PhD student at the Landessternwarte Königstuhl (LSW) of the University of Heidelberg, Germany; holds a Master's degree in Astrophysics from the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of the University of São Paulo (IAG-USP); a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy from the same institute; and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Institute of Physics (IF-USP) of the same university. Holds a technical degree in Mechatronics from the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET/MG). He carried out research work during the technical course, including a studentship in the area of #8203;#8203;Robotics. He was also an intern and scholarship student at the Optics Laboratory of IAG-USP. He is a former FAPESP fellow in the J-VAR research project at the Javalambre Astrophysical Observatory, Spain, and the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory, Chile, and a former FAPESP fellow in the CUBES Spectrograph project at the ESO Very Large Telescope. He also did an exchange at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (MPIA), Germany, in the Exo-Striker project. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
