Flávia Pisani is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Computing of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where she is working on an Industrial IoT project under the supervision of Prof. Juliana Freitag Borin. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Informatics of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) from 2019 to 2020, where she worked as a part the ?Future Internet for Smart Cities? FAPESP project under the supervision of Prof. Markus Endler. She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UNICAMP in 2019, for which she was advised by Prof. Edson Borin. Her dissertation is related to the topics of Internet of Things (IoT), resource-constrained devices, and fog computing. She received a B.Sc. degree with honors in Computer Science from UNICAMP in 2014. Her current research interests include high-performance computing, parallel computing, fog computing, constrained devices, Internet of Things, smart cities, Computer Science education, computational thinking, and the use of technology in education.
