Full Professor and Chief of Nephrology, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, since 2005. Experienced in Clinical Medicine and Nephrology, mainly in the subareas of chronic nephropathy and diabetic nephropathy. Head of the Laboratory of Renal Pathophysiology of the Nephrology Department of the Faculty of Medicine, USP from 1995 to 2018. Coordinator of two FAPESP Thematic Projects (1992-1997 and 2013-2018). Responsible from 1992 to 2016 for the Nephrology Chapter of the Course on Physiological Basics of Clinical Medicine, taught to students of the Medicine Course at the Faculty of Medicine of USP. General Coordinator of that course (2006-2016). Currently responsible for the Curricular Unit 11 of the Medicine Course at FMUSP, coordinating directly two Disciplines, MSP2112 and MSP2113, in addition to administering classes for two other Disciplines, 6700001 and 6700002 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
