Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas). Master's in Science a PhD in Molecular and Morphofunctional Biology, both at Univeristy of Campinas (UNICAMP). Ambitious scientist with extensive experience in synthetic biology of microorganisms, such as molecular biology, microbiology, production and purification of recombinant proteins and biochemical characterization. Main skills in purification and biochemical and biophysical characterization of proteins, omics data analysis, CRISPR/Cas9 in filamentous fungi, experience with carbohydrate-active enzymes (CAZymes), metalloproteins (polysaccharide lytic monooxygenases - LPMOs), carbohydrate analysis using HPLC and enzymatic hydrolysis and saccharification using plant cell wall biomass. Currently a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Centre of Enzyme Innovation (CEI) at the University of Portsmouth working with Plastic Degrading Enzymes (PETases) in Professor Andrew Pickford group.
