Matheus de Jesus Morais

Master's student in Crop Sciences at North Carolina State University. Agricultural Engineer from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture - University of São Paulo (ESALQ - USP) (2023). During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a research student in post-harvest physiology and biochemistry (Laboratory of Post-Harvest Physiology and Biochemistry/ ESALQ) and bioinformatics applied to food science (Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Mycotoxins/ LABMIC/ ESALQ), with scholarships granted by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), in the scientific initiation modality. He completed a professional internship at the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy (NIBIO) in partnership with the Norwegian Veterinary Institute (NVI), working with phytopathogenic fungi associated with plant and animal diseases. During his undergraduate studies, in terms of extension, he worked as coordinator of the post-harvest extension group (Post-harvest Physiology and Biochemistry Laboratory/ESALQ) and as a volunteer tutor at the Clarice Lispector Preparatory Course at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP), working to support high school students in the college entrance exam phase.
