Lauro Pradela holds a bachelors degree in chemistry (2014) from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), where he also completed his master's degree (2016) and PhD (2020) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Regina Massako. His PhD thesis, entitled Development of paper-based analytical devices using low-cost materials, received an Honorable Mention in the CAPES Thesis Award 2021 Edition, in the field of Chemistry. During his PhD, Lauro participated in the Sandwich Doctorate Program Abroad (PDSE), funded by CAPES (process number 88881.190602/2018-01), conducting a research internship at Colorado State University (USA) under the supervision of Prof. Charles Henry. In 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Dr. Adam Woolley at Brigham Young University (BYU), with funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, grant number 2022/11346-4). He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of São Paulo (USP), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thiago Paixão, with funding from FAPESP (grant number 2021/00205-8). Lauro has solid experience in Chemistry, with an emphasis on electrochemistry and electroanalytical chemistry. His main research interests include the development of disposable electrochemical sensors and biosensors using conductive inks, 3D printing, and laser printing; the integration of electrochemical sensors into flow injection analysis systems; and the development of paper-based microfluidic devices.
