Experience in maize genetic improvement (research and rural extension) and soil microbiology. Masters degree in Science with an emphasis on plant biotechnology, with dissertation on sugarcane ammonium transporters. PhD in plant genetics, investigating water-stress-related genes in soybean and genomic editing using CRISPR-Cas, aiming to improve the nutritional quality of grain for animal feed. Currently working at Corteva Agriscience as a postdoc. Finally, an enthusiastic molecular biologist who loves observing nature and applying its techniques to improve food production.
