I am a botanist and evolutionary biologist. My primary research interests are in systematics, macroevolution, and historical biogeography. In particular, I have been using Asteraceae taxa as models to understand patterns and process of diversification in Neotropics. I am currently working with phylogenomics, morphology, and evolutionary mathematical models. I hold a PhD from University of Campinas (Brazil) with a period at the Swedish Museum of Natural History (Sweden).
