Birthplace: Brazil

Ph.D. in Sciences by the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - USP, with studies on host-pathogen interaction and Trypanosoma cruzi. With a sandwich internship during my doctorate at the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases - Yale School of Public Health (06/2019 - 07/2019). Master in Science from the Cellular and Molecular Biology program at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School - USP, awarded in 2016. Bachelor's in Biochemistry graduated in 2014 from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). She was a FAPEMIG Scientific Initiation Scholar at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Phylogeography, located at the Institute of Biotechnology Applied to Agriculture (BIOAGRO) from March 2012 to February 2014, with studies related to xylanases and their biotechnological applications. Was post doctoral fellow at the Butantan Institute completed in December 2022, with a project related to the integration of changes in metabolism and epigenetics in Trypanosoma cruzi. Postdoc in gene therapy based on the CRISPR/Cas system for treating Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa and clinical research at the Albert Einstein Teaching and Research Center (2023). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FM-USP), developing a project that uses tools based on the CRISPR/Cas system in zebrafish models for the characterization and analysis of potentially deleterious allelic variants in patients with DSD. She has experience in Biochemistry, Enzymology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Microscopy, Gene Editing (CRISPR/Cas), Epigenetics, and Gene Therapy. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
