Nathan Barros de Souza

Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa, Minas Gerais (2020). Interned at the Avans University of Applied Sciences - Breda, Netherlands - from 09/2018 to 07/2019, developing a research project related to the pyrolysis of the cashew nut shell, primarily aiming to design an empirical model for the calculation of biomass composition using the Gaussian deconvolution technique and determine the kinetic parameters of the biomass thermal decomposition. Carried out volunteer activities related to the process simulation software, Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS, at the Simulation, Project and Catalysis Laboratory (LaSiP) of the Department of Chemistry in Federal University of Viçosa (09/2017 to 07/2018), developing video classes to assist other students in using the program. Master in Chemical Engineering by the University of Campinas (2022). Started his Doctorate in Chemical Engineering at the University of Campinas (2022). Currently working in the field of Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics with an emphasis on molecular simulation of hard convex bodies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
