She holds a bachelor's degree from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo - EEUSP (2012), a master's degree (2014) and a doctorate (2019) in health sciences from the Graduate Program in Nursing (PPGE) of the University of São Paulo, with a sandwich doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2017-2018). She is currently an Associate Professor at EEUSP, Leader of the Center for Nursing Studies and Research in Addictions and Mental Health (NEPEASM), Core-Staff of the Brazilian Center for Evidence-Based Health Care: Center of Excellence of the Joanna Briggs Institute, president of the Brazilian chapter of the International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA), and nonverbal communication coach by the Paul Ekman group. She works mainly on the following topics: mental health, anxiety, interpersonal relationship theory, verbal and non-verbal communication, psychoactive substance abuse, and the development of complex theories and interventions.
