Vinícius is a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey (UK), working on the quantification, identification, and degradation of PFAS through sonolysis. Vinicíus holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2017), a Master of Science degree in Hydraulics and Sanitation from the University of São Paulo (2020), and a Doctor of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (2025). He also had a secondment as an Associate Researcher in the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London. Vinicius conducts multidisciplinary research with a focus on areas such as Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, and Food Toxicology. His primary research interests include monitoring micropollutants in the environment, developing advanced processes for the removal of micropollutants, exploring inverse vulcanization and its applications, and assessing the risks of veterinary pharmaceuticals, including establishing withdrawal periods and maximum residue limits. Additionally, Vinicius has worked as a consultant for the National Union of the Animal Health Products Industry (Sindan), where he contributed to a petition to ANVISA for the establishment of maximum residue limits for veterinary pharmaceuticals. He has also served as a biology and chemistry teacher for pre-university courses and held the position of financial director for Cursinho Popular de Vinhedo during the 2021/2022 board term.
