Jeferson Carvalho is a PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology at the University of São Paulo (USP), where he defended his masters thesis in 2024, titled "The Cities of Claude Lévi-Strauss," under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sylvia Caiuby Novaes. The research that led to his masters thesis was funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, 2021/05272-5 / 2022/12684-0), with a research internship at the Laboratoire d'anthropologie sociale du Collège de France, supervised by Frédéric Keck (LAS/CNRS). He is currently conducting his doctoral research titled "Wild City: Thinking the Urban with Claude Lévi-Strauss," also funded by FAPESP (2023/18403-6), under the supervision of Prof. Sylvia Caiuby Novaes (USP) and Frédéric Keck (LAS/CNRS).
