Odir Nunes de Oliveira Filho

I am currently a Master's student in Dentistry, specializing in Implantology, at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Faculty of Dentistry - Araçatuba. My research, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Roberta Okamoto, focuses on the functionalization of dental implants to improve bone healing, especially in osteoporotic conditions. I also serve as a teaching intern in the Anatomy discipline through the PAADES (Program for Activities and Improvement in Higher Education Teaching).I earned my dental degree from UNESP in 2024. During my undergraduate studies, I received a FAPESP Undergraduate Research Fellowship (Process No.#8239;2021/12692#8209;0, renewed twice), working in the Mineralized Tissue Study Laboratory within the Department of Basic Sciences, supervised by Prof. Dr. Roberta Okamoto. My work focused on bone repair and systemic influences. I was also awarded a VUNESP scholarship (Process No.#8239;1173882/2018) from 2019 to 2022.In 20232024, I completed a research internship at McMaster University in Canada, supported by a BEPE-FAPESP scholarship (Process No.#8239;2023/11613#8209;5), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kathryn Grandfield.
