She holds a B.Sc. in Biomedicine from UniNassau Recife (2009), an M.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology from the Federal University of Pernambuco UFPE (2014), and a Ph.D. in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy from São Paulo State University UNESP (2019), including a research stay at Hochschule Mannheim, Germany. Her research focuses on Synthetic Biology and Industrial Biotechnology, with expertise in Bacillus subtilis, quorum sensing, CRISPR/Cas9 technology, and microbial production of industrially relevant compounds. She also has experience in professional education. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher funded by FAPESP, working on the development of Bacillus subtilis strains for surfactin production, in collaboration with the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany) and UNESP (Rio Claro, Brazil).
