PhD in Sciences (Pharmacology) from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo, with expertise in the bioprospecting of natural products with anticancer activity. She holds a bachelor's and a teaching degree in Biological Sciences, with an emphasis on Marine Biology, from the Universidade Santa Cecília in Santos, SP, and a master's degree in Pharmacology from the Universidade Federal do Ceará, where she developed projects related to the bioprospecting of marine natural products with anticancer activity, as well as the cultivation of microorganisms associated with invertebrates and cell biology. During her doctorate, she investigated the target-directed modulation of pro-tumor transcription factors, potentially exerted by marine molecules. She developed part of her thesis at the University of Cape Town, in South Africa, where she completed a supervised internship at the Cancer Lab, coordinated by Prof. Sharon Prince. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Biomolecular Sciences of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (USP), where he is carrying out a research project focused on exploring the biotechnological potential of extremophilic bacteria. He is also part of the team that makes up the Long-Term Ecological Project in the Brazilian Oceanic Islands (PELD-ILOC), and the Network for Sustainable Prospecting and Ecosystem Resources in Marine Environments - ProspecMar Network.
