Graduated with a History bachelor's degree from the University of São Paulo's Faculty of Philosophy, Languages, Literature, and Human Sciences. Currently pursuing a Master's degree at the University of São Paulo's Graduate Program in Social Anthropology, working on the research "'Candomblés in the street': An analysis of an afoxé and a bloco afro in São Paulo," part of the project "Religion, Symbol, and Afro-Brazilian Power in the Formation of National Culture," coordinated by Vagner Gonçalves da Silva, with funding from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Additional educational background includes participation in an Exchange Program at South Korea's Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Academic interests include Oral History and Social Anthropology, with an emphasis on Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Religious Studies. Is currently a member of the research group CERNe (Center for the Study of Contemporary Religiosities and Black Cultures) at PPGAS/USP and part of the editorial board of the journal Cadernos de Campo.
