Jônatas Augusto Cursiol

Jônatas Augusto Cursiol is a doctorate student in the Graduate Program in Movement Sciences at UNESP Bauru and a member of the Human Movement Research Laboratory (MOVI-LAB). His research focuses on investigating motor and non-motor strategies to improve the quality of life of people with Parkinsons disease, with an emphasis on reducing gait asymmetry. These strategies include physical exercise and intermittent normobaric hypoxia. He has experience with sports for people with disabilities and, during his masters degree, developed expertise in exercise physiology, exercise biomechanics, and adapted sports. He completed his undergraduate and masters studies at the School of Physical Education and Sport of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo, including a sandwich exchange period at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
