Evandro Maia Ferreira graduated in Animal Science from the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) (2005). He holds a Master's degree (2008) and a Ph.D. (2011) in Animal Science and Pastures from the University of São Paulo (USP). Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the "Luiz de Queiroz" College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP) and an advisor in the Graduate Program in Animal Science and Pastures at ESALQ/USP. In 2019, he served as a visiting professor at Hainan University, China, under the Hainan Provincial Overseas Famous Expert program. At ESALQ, since 2018, he has been the coordinator of the Intensive Production Systems for Sheep and Goats (SIPOC). He is currently on sabbatical at Central Queensland University, Australia (2023-2024). He works in the field of Animal Science, with an emphasis on Sheep and Goat Nutrition.
