She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1993), a Master's degree in Economics from the State University of Campinas (1998), a Ph.D. in Economic Theory from the University of São Paulo (2003), and a habilitation degree (Associate Professor Title) from the same institution (2010). She is a Full Professor of Economics at the Institute of International Relations of the University of São Paulo, conducting research in applied economic theory (microeconometrics), with a focus on health economics, digital economy, and the economics of crime.
