Felipe Meira de Faria

Grad degree in Biological Sciences at Santa Cecília University (UNISANTA), Master and Doctoral (PhD.) in Pharmacology obtained at State University of Campinas UNICAMP, (2007 and 2013, respectively). Experienced in Pharmacognosy, Human Physiology and Pharmacology, studying the physio-pathological mechanisms and on the pharmacologic therapeutics in experimental models of gastrointestinal diseases, inflammation and pain.In 2013 have had the opportunity to work as a Substitute Adjunct Professor at Federal University of the San Francisco Valley UNIVASF (during 6 months) lecturing the disciplines of Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Human Physiology and Pharmacology in the Nursing school.Had been Postdoc fellow (PNPD-CAPES) at the Post-graduate Program of Biosciences and Technology of Bioactive Products of the Institute of Biology at UNICAMP (for 8 months) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marcos José Salvador.In 2014, initiated his second Postdoctoral (PD-FAPESP), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos Amilcar Parada, at the Department of Structural and Functional Biology at UNICAMP, where develops studies on the molecular mechanisms modulating visceral pain during experimental colitis, as well as inflammation in this context.From January, 2015 to February 2016, worked as postdoctoral fellow (BEPE-FAPESP) at University of California Los Angeles UCLA, where studied the consequences of cell-targeted Cox-2 gene deletion in colitis experimental model, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Harvey Roy Herschman.
