Bachelor and PhD student in Philosophy and General Theory of Law at the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP), on a full-time basis with a grant from FAPESP. He is studying for a master's degree and a law degree at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (PITES - Partenariat International Triangulaire d'Enseignement Supérieur). He was awarded a CNPq scientific initiation scholarship. At FD-USP, he is a member of the CNPq research group 'Legal Interpretation and Institutional Innovations' and coordinator of the extension activity Núcleo de Direito, Democracia e Desenvolvimento. He is the author of the books 'The problem of the creation and foundation of law (a comparative study between Hans Kelsen's normativist thinking and Carl Schmitt's decisionist thinking on legal dynamics)' and 'Weapons, votes and reasons: a case study on the disarmament statute in the light of the theory and sociology of legislation'. Co-author of the volumes on Dworkin and on Hart (in press, collection 'Fundamentals of Law'). Co-organizer of the books 'Hans Kelsen: the Science and the Politics of Law' and 'Sociology History of Brazilian Constitutionalism'. Author of articles published in various academic journals, such as Revista Brasileira de Segurança Pública, Revista Brasileira de Sociologia do Direito, Suprema - Revista de Estudos Constitucionais (STF) and Revista Brasileira de Filosofia. He has presented papers at congresses of the Law Society Association, the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Sociology of Law (ABraSD), the Latin American Network of Social Systems and Complexity (RELASSC) and the Brazilian Association of Philosophy of Law and Sociology of Law (ABRAFI), among others.
