Raony Augusto de Almeida

Masters student in History at the School of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), conducting research on the urbanization of the Lapa district between 1920 and 1940, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luis Antônio Coelho Ferla. Holds a Bachelors degree in History from the same institution. During undergraduate studies, received a FAPESP scholarship (TT1) through the eScience program, and a CNPq scholarship (ITI), participating in the project Pauliceia 2.0: Collaborative Mapping of the History of São Paulo (18701940) Phase 2. Member of the research group Hímaco History, Maps, and Computers, where he develops research on the urbanization of the city of São Paulo, analyzing the use of geotechnologies in historical studies and incorporating the districts of Bela Vista and Lapa into the Pauliceia 2.0 platform. His research interests include Public History, Digital Humanities, and Historical GIS, with an emphasis on contemporary urban history and the use of mapping technologies to understand social and territorial dynamics.
