Birthplace: Brazil

Ph.D. in Sciences from the ESALQ/USP program in Animal Sciences and Pastures, with a research internship at Purdue University (PU) in the field of animal breeding, genetics and genomics. Holds a Master's Degree in Science from the same institution and a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), with undergraduate research experience in animal breeding and molecular biology, particularly in beef cattle and Mangalarga Marchador horses. Has published in scientific journals, participated in research projects and served on judging committees for academic events. Experienced in genetics and animal breeding, combining data analysis, bioinformatics and laboratory techniques. Also skilled in genetic data processing and modeling using SAS, R, and Linux environments, with expertise in quantitative genetics and genomics technologies, including the BLUPF90+ family of programs and data simulation (QMSim, R). Proficient in DNA and RNA extraction and sequencing, gene expression analysis, conventional and real-time PCR, and molecular marker (SNP) discovery. The application of these tools contributes to the development of methodologies for genetic evaluation and genomic prediction, as well as to the optimization of breeding programs and the implementation of genetic tools aimed at sustainability and production efficiency.
