Eric Haydt Castello Branco van Cleef

Graduated in Animal Science from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) in 2006, with a Master's degree in Animal Science (Ruminant Nutrition) from the same institution (2008), a specialization in Zebu Breed Judging from FAZU-MG (2007), and a Ph.D. in Animal Science (Ruminant Production) from São Paulo State University (UnespJaboticabal) in 2012. Worked as a research assistant at Kansas State University (20122013) and as a postdoctoral fellow at FCAV/Unesp (20132016). Also holds a degree in Business Management (FATECJaboticabal, 2018) and a teaching degree in Pedagogy (UNIVESP, 2023). Currently on leave as an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM), where he taught courses in Animal Nutrition and Feeding, Forage Crops, Beef Cattle Production, Crop-Livestock Integration, and Special Topics in Animal Science. He serves as a reviewer for several agricultural science journals and as an ad hoc advisor for FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation), CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), and Dairy Farmers of Canada. He is also a member of the National Higher Education Evaluation Bank (BASisINEP). His main areas of expertise include ruminant nutrition (sheep, beef, and dairy cattle), feed analysis, forage production and preservation, and integrated crop-livestock systems. He is currently a research associate at the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, conducting research on the nutrition of cattle and bison in grazing and feedlot systems.
