He works as a set designer, art director, architect, costume designer, multimedia artist, professor and researcher researcher of Spatiities and Visualities at University of Sao Paulo, with an emphasis on the following themes: city, public space, site-specific, artistic intervention, destruction, abandonment, memory, performance, waste, transdisciplinary, materialism, ecology, sustainability, Global South. Carries out and coordinates scenography, art direction, exhibition design, installation and spatial-visual intervention projects in theater, dance, performance, cinema, exhibitions and events, collaborating with important artists, theater groups, companies and cultural institutions in Brazil, Colombia and England. He presented projects and creations in important cultural centres in countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Norway, Italy, Germany, among others. He was the art director of Grupo XIX de Teatro from 2004 to 2009, winning the Shell Prize for Arrufos (2008), among other awards. From 2008 to 2021, he was part of the U.A.P., a transdisciplinary creation platform based in the rural area of #8203;#8203;Cotia, developing projects based on the reinsertion of discarded materials, artistic research projects, workshops and a permanent Artistic Residency and Performance program. He is member of OISTAT (Organization Internationale des Scenographes, Architects et Téchniciens du Théâtre), IFTR (International Federation of Theater Researchers), teiabr (performing arts mapping platform) and Grafias da Cena Brasil - Brazilian Association of Visualities, Spatialities and Sounds of the Scene ).Master in Scenography (Center for Performing Arts/University of Sao Paulo) with research on art direction in unconventional spaces and PhD in the same department with the thesis "Residual spaces and materials in performative potential: Scenography Expanded to from the South". Visiting researcher (sandwich doctorate) at the department of Performance Studies at the Tisch School of the Arts/New York University and artist in residency at the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics (2018-2019). He creates and coordinates conferences, debates, workshops and theoretical-practical courses in scenography and performing arts schools in Brazil, such as SP Escola de Teatro, Escola São Paulo, Unirio, UFRJ, UFMG, UEM, UniChapecó Unesp; and international teaching and research centers, such as the University of Norway, Alberta University (Czech Republic), Contact Theater (U.K.), and events such as the IFTR Congress, World Stage Design and Prague Quadrennial of Space and Performance Design.
