Full Professor at Federal University of Piauí; Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, representing the Northeast and Espírito Santo regions. Graduated in Biomedical Engineering from University of Vale do Paraíba (Univap), 2005; Master's degree in Materials Science and Technology from National Institute for Space Research (INPE), 2008; and PhD in Physics and Chemistry of Materials from Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), 2011. My major experience is in Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering with a focus on thin films. I have experience in the use of photoacoustic technique and in the production and characterization of thin films for different applications. I have didactic-scientific experience in Physics, Materials Engineering and Biomedical, particularly in nanobiomaterials and biocompatible materials. I coordinated the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCM/UFPI) between 2020-2023. Ambassador of the "Parent in Science" Project (Northeast Region) since 2020.
